Some facts you all might want to know abt CPF, Simple facts that might just affect your lives:
1) If you are 55 in 2013 onwards, your CPF ordinary and special accounts should contain a minimum 120K dollars plus inflation since yr 2003
2) For medisave, minimum sum is 25k
3) You can no longer take half of your CPF money when you are 55 yrs old from 2019 onwards, But you can take anything in excess of the 120k plus inflation when you are 55 yrs of age.
4) You can pledge your property for the minimum CPF sum requirement, but only half of the amt of the minimum sum (i.e. 60k). The other half of the minimum sum must be from CPF cash component. When you sell your property that has been pledge.... that's rite... you need to put the amt pledge back into the CPF.
5) Your monthly CPF payout based on the amount you left in CPF will be given monthly starting whenyou are 62 years old, the official retirement age until you used up your CPF, alternatively you can buy an annuity using your CPF.
6) Retirement age is now recommended to be increased above 62 yrs of age by LKY, hence your monthly payout will be given out probably later than 62 yrs of age to the future official retirement age. Also retirement age is always on the inceasing side, never decreasing!
If you are not planning to live beyond 65, your CPF doesnt belong to you!

wah piangzz We always think CPF is our money! KNN scary things to think abt during this festive season. Then how? How else to use CPF ordinary a/c besides buying a house/flat which is sibeh expensive?

i wish i could say this were just a joke, man. Then we could just laugh everything off, and go on our own merry way. Like a lot of Singaporeans like that, who still choose to remain at the sidelines, and continue to let their asses be swiped with the Master's-Card.
I wonder how many people will decide to vote for the PAP when the next election comes, and the small little scrapLETs of miserable money are dangled out in front of the hungry (hungry because they got money no more, and this they did to themselves by ... essentially sitting back, doing nothing..., and just letting things happen) folks???
What is funny is that there are people who can still remain to stay in the sidelines for so long.

well, we can use all 'OUR' hard-earned money to earn somemore hard-earned money back by investing in stocks and shares. And then we can give them back to the CPF Board so that they can employ lots of other old people to sit in front of our money and look at it with binoculars (to make sure that the OTHER old people who are ~really~ in need of money do not steal it) before we finally get it back when WE ARE VERY OLD, with the FANTASTIC MARKET-RATE-COMPETITIVE INTEREST(TM) that the Government (*the CPF Board is part of the Government) has been SOO KIND to give to us.
(So we really should be grateful to the Gahment for doing all its best to take care of us, the Citizens, who put them in their place - and then kept them in their power and in their place).
Alternatively... u may be able to gather A HUNDRED PIGS, and then slaughter them all in one night, and rip off their heads, and then hang them all up. In this way, we will have gone through the initiation ceremony of the AH LONGS - and will be awarded and rewarded with million-dollar $alarie$.
(Note: i personally am confident that there will be more than just a handful of people who will be delighted, and interested to do this - let this be made know, the PORKY PIGS are scared man, i tell u. The porkier the pig... the more delicious the meat... YUM!!! Chinese New Year time is coming soon, man. Time for some roasting of some pigs...)
