(rollingeyes) I remb that MR MAH SAID every singaporean can Afford to own a flat.
but I think back ...is hard leh :(

Actually when he meant Singaporean. He meant dual income married coupled Singaporeans. They get the highest subsidies and also the best choice in selection of flats.
The government does not think singles, and other non-married individuals are true Singaporeans. Thus, they have discriminatory polices against them. This is is even though we have a surplus in flats.
Anyone who believe in such words like every singaporean matters got to get their heads out of their a$$.

eh, every singaporean can own a flat, but with as long as 30year LOANS

buying flat has always been a burden
u think our parents got flats given for free
singles above 35 can now buy all types of flats what so whats the problem
if u below 35 stay with ur parents and save the $$ wah lau eh or rent

If you buy a 3 room falt in a very ulu place + you pay 30yrs loan, most can afford that. Of course, whether its worth paying so much for a 3 room flat is another question.

my 2 cent plans
not planning to buy flat cos dun want to get financial burdens, so stay with parents
not planning to get married cos life is already suffering
not planning to have kid (even if i ever find a gal) cos life is already suffering dunwan to burden the new life and ours
not planning to work like seow cos no matter how hard i work, FT will always have more recognition and opportunities than me
not planning to read too much news cos its always negative anyway
not planning to buy car cos they only have 10 years lifespan (shorter than my eyesight)
my plans: travel more, have pets, enjoy sports, be a vegetarian, live simple
LIFE IS A JOURNEY OF CHOICES.

All types? Never check the website rite? You can only buy three to four room. Otherwise, you would have to live with other singles to buy bigger flats.
AND
You can only buy from the resale market. So if you want Duxton plain or some high-class flat. Wait very long.
1 HaHaas:
thanks for ur voice of sanity, my friend - i guess at this point in time in my own life, i do have to agree. But as with all things in life, i guess ur reaction to anything really has to do with what u believe, and how u approach and view life, huh?
i'm not diss-ing these people - but i think the most major important factor in what u choose to do with regards to this situation really lies with what u have chosen to do (yes, this is kinda loopy - but it is not circular) regarding the "major decision" that sooner or later, every Singaporean must take - that of choosing to either stay, or leave...
thanks for sticking around, and for so kindly pointing out ur thoughts for me to read!!! I really appreciate it...
Give Me a HaHaa!!!
